28mm White Metal Miniatures for the Ancient Period
Adam finished the first 2 packs on Friday but I have been busy with orders and did not get the mould completed until today, He also handed me the next 2 packs of unarmoured infantry which I will be moulding tomorrow. The SASS33 pack is an infantry man standing holding the spear upright behind his large shield, the SASS34 pack have the figures thrusting in 4 different poses. The unarmoured packs will also be in this fashion. Â Commands for them as soon as we can get them finished.
My Samsung S4 has melted itself and I have no phone today. I will sort this asap.
Sorted now, a new phone (S6) required as the old one would not play ball at all. Normal services restored. 🙂
Yes Phil has been busy following his trip to Rome(love that place). The Cavalry he finished before he left and the next phalanx unit has been finished now he has returned. I have just heard what he plans and boy is it big. I will keep posting to the slideshow any new units and keep you all informed using the Facebook Page. The Phalanx have the new transfers on the AVS14 shields.
We have the first command set ready for the infantry. It has been designed to be flexible in its usage. Six different heads and a selection of standards and shields will help make them useful in a lot of units.
We were asked if we would sell a selection of our Etruscan and Hill tribes figures for a project on the LAF forum, we of course did so. Mad Doc then painted a figure a day over a week and posted the photos along with a short story line. I will confess to clicking onto the site through the mornings to see if the latest post had got up. I have collected the photos together and put them in the slideshow. I had about 50 mins to spare this afternoon so I had a go at a couple of the new figures. I want them for a project next year but given the size of it I thought that I better get started. The shield will point you in the direction I am going.
We have finished the first of the Sassanid infantry packs, they are archers, 2 packs with 3 different sets of heads. Given the fairly generic equipment etc. they will find use in a load of armies. We will add more heads in due course as we add the rest of the infantry packs. I am going to paint some for my Byzantine army which will come along in due course.
